Bulgari and Rome
05/01/2017
Bulgari and Rome, an exhibition and a book that reveal how the art and architecture of classical and modern Rome have been the source of inspiration for Maison Bulgari’s designers over the past few decades. This volume includes a selection of works from the Bulgari Heritage Collection and paintings from centuries 16th to 20th that will demonstrate the subtle relationships between the jewels and the paintings and the Roman monuments which have inspired them. The pieces inset with cabochons that recreate the city’s domes, the glitter of the gold (white or yellow) which recalls the splendour of Baroque volutes, and the geometrical designs that reflect the pure lines of the ruins are some of the details that express Bulgari’s homage to the Eternal City.
