Royal Gardens of Spain
12/07/2019
The Spanish Royal Palaces are surrounded by green spaces, which currently measure approximately 20,500 hectares; about 500 correspond to orchards and gardens, and 20,000 to forest land. They are divided between El Pardo, La Herrería and Riofrío, and are partially accessible to the public. Their ecological importance within the Mediterranean forest is notorious, and does not detract in its scope from that of the monuments around which they are located.
