Alfaro Siza. Encountered Ideas

No one will believe the story we are about to tell. The day we presented the work of Andreu Alfaro to Álvaro Siza was a magical moment. This fortunate encounter proposes to present an architect who thought about being a sculptor and a sculptor who would have loved to work as an architect. Finding the common factor between the work of Alfaro and Siza reveals some shared ideas that seem to have the quality of surviving the passing of time. Seeing an eternally young Aphrodite, an always willing Kuroi, some horses full of energy… these works remind us of powerful ideas for which their authors may serve as vehicles, and allow us to enjoy them, understand them and transmit them. The boundaries between disciplines seem to be diluted before these concepts, it is stimulating to think that looking into the legacy of these two artists we can find the beauty.
