15/01/2018
The golden age of the edition in Argentina and its protagonists are the subject of analysis in this catalog, published on the occasion of the celebration of the homonymous exhibition at the Luis Seoane Foundation, through Horacio Fernández’s essays on Grete Stern and and Horacio Coppola’s first photobooks; by Pablo Rossi, about the figure of Attilio Rossi and his relationship with the book; as well as David Carballal, curator of the exhibition, who carries out a study on the graphic work of the volume “Cómo se imprime un libro”, which gives title to the project, together with the work of Luis Seoane, Jakob Hermelin and the Imprenta López of Buenos Aires. Silvia Longueira, curator of the exhibition together with David Carballal, details in the preface of this publication the origins of the project, which contextualizes the editorial career of Luis Seoane through essential pieces recovered for the occasion. The catalog, illustrated with about 300 images, also reproduces graphically the total of the 86 books included in the exhibition.
