Teresa Burga. Structures of Air

Along with the exhibition Teresa Burga. Air Structures, MALBA edited this special catalogue of almost 250 pages specially dedicated to the experimental production of Burga from the late 60s onwards. It includes the curatorial essays: “Teresa Burga: From oblivion and chance” by Agustín Pérez Rubio and “The cronodisidencias of Teresa Burga” by Miguel López; and the critical text “generative words and subdued bodies in 1969-1971 Teresa Burga’proposals” by academic Dorota Biczel. Also published in the catalogue “open work or shapeless structure” by Teresa Burga (undatd ca. 1970-1980) and an unpublished interview with the artist of 2011: ”
As close as possible to chance”, also by López. In addition to the reproduction of works represented in the exhibition, the book brings together the whole body of works on paper by Burga around her series of diagrams, structures and reports.
